What primitive reflexes are and their importance
Tina BožiĨnik, Ph.D. med., specialist in pediatrics, began her professional and professional career at the Maribor Medical Center. Due to her own experience, her desire led her to open a private clinic without a concession in Ljubljana. In 2021, she received two awards, namely My Doctor of the Year 2021 and My Pediatrician 2021.
"In the children's consultation room, which has always been the best part of the working day for me, I noticed years ago that it was easier to find the source of a problem if I had more time to talk with the parents and establish contact with the child. This was very rare, because you have to see a certain quota of children per day.” Through this experience, she realized that personal contact and approach, no matter what, is the key. That's why she decided to open a private clinic, where she can take more time for each patient and fully devote herself to him and the entire family.
She deals a lot with babies who cry, have problems with breastfeeding, colic or refuse to lie on their stomachs, and with sensory disorders. It offers support to families facing challenges in raising and understanding children. She completely understands the patients who visit her, as it comes from her own experience. She herself is the mother of a girl who had similar problems. Fortunately, thanks to her knowledge and additional education during the first years of her daughter's life, she was able to quickly overcome the problems. She likes to say that she taught her everything she knows about pediatrics. Its mission is to draw attention to the importance of early detection of imbalances, which begin to show in children at a very early age. She is a specialist in motor development, "baby handling", autism, ADHD and OCD. He is seeing an increase in cases of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
"Certainly, the number of such children is higher also due to better diagnostics. Both genes and the environment play an important role, which is greatly influenced by the modern way of life intertwined with technology. One of the studies, which was published in the American Journal of Medical Genetics, showed that from 5 to 15 percent of autism is genetic, syndromic. So genes play a role, but so does the environment. Epigenetics shows that the environment can greatly influence how our genes behave.'
After a year since the opening of the private pediatric clinic, she already has a number of cured patients behind her, and her waiting list is even longer. The success of her medical profession is spread by word of mouth.
